My goal is to help you overcome the challenges you are currently experiencing, whether it's relationship issues, depression, troublesome patterns of behavior, substance abuse, parenting, or living a more intentional, fulfilling life. I develop rapport with my clients in a way that is genuine, respectful, warm, and when appropriate, humorous. My aim is to provide a safe, collaborative environment where you can learn about yourself in a deeper way, your input is valued and helps guide the process, and that together we can resolve issues important to you.
I work with adults and adolescents, and provide individual, couples, and family psychotherapy. I use an integrative approach (psychodynamic, cognitive-behavioral, relational, and family systems) to tailor the process to your individual needs and personality. For example, we may alternatively focus on understanding underlying beliefs or conflicts, interactions between us in session, or specific behavioral goals.
I have experience working with a wide variety of people and issues, and experience and training in psychotherapy integration, which has enabled me to creatively assist clients in making significant changes in their lives - changes that not only involve symptom reduction, but also increases in insight, self-efficacy, and self-esteem.
